AHMEDABAD, Nov 26: Former chief minister and Congress leader Chhabildas Mehta has alleged that after elections were over for Bharuch Parliamentary elections on Wednesday, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers came to the Congress office in Bharuch city and pelted stones at the vehicles parked there and broke the window panes.

In a release, he has stated that while voting was in progress, the BJP MLAs and other leaders, alongwith their supporters, were roaming around with arms to terrorise the voters. He has alleged that in Amod, the Congress workers were attacked with swords by the BJP supporters in which three people were injured, two of them seriously, and had to be admitted to Bharuch Civil Hospital. On registering a complaint, the police checked the vehicles of BJP workers and recovered acid bulbs and arms from them, he said.
