AGARTALA, DECEMBER 8: The Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Tribunal has served show cause notices to Tripura’s two banned outfits — All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF) and National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT).

An official release said here on Wednesday that the tribunal, headed by Justice R K Trivedy, judge of Allahabad High Court, was constituted to verify the justification of banning the outfits.

The tribunal in its show cause notices has asked ATTF and NLFT to clarify why the outfits and their leaders should not be banned and the Government of India’s earlier notifications banning the outfits not approved.
