New Zealand skipper Stephen Fleming has warned his team against taking Bangladesh lightly in Monday’s Super 8s match.New Zealand are on a roll after inflicting a seven-wicket defeat on host West Indies at the Vivian Richards Cricket Ground. But Fleming has not forgotten the shock loss to Bangladesh in a warm-up game ahead of the World Cup.“Underestimating what Bangladesh are capable of can be dangerous, we know what they can do,” said Fleming.“If the conditions are right, Bangladesh can be quite a handful. They turned us over last time.”Having carried two points from the preliminary round victory over England, Fleming’s team now has four points. They are seeking to place one foot inside the semi-finals before moving toward tougher games against other semi-final contenders — Sri Lanka, South Africa and Australia.Fleming is pleased with the form of his players. “Every area is flowing pretty well, we just need to keep going,” he said. Coach John Bracewell also wants the Black Caps to tread carefully. “There are many steps to be cleared before we start looking at the top,” Bracewell said. “It’s about reaching the semi-finals now and take it from there. The beauty of this team is the ability to seamlessly slip into plan B. It’s a question of flexibility,” Bracewell said. Bangladesh coach Dav Whatmore said New Zealand provided his young lineup with a formidable challenge. “New Zealand are a good solid team in any condition,” said Whatmore. “They are strong all over. It’s a good fielding squad, bats deep and has a lot of all-rounders.” Bangladesh have an injury concern over paceman Tapash Baisya, who limped off with a leg injury against Australia.
