The historical documentary on the descendants of Bahadur Shah Zafar, the last Mughal emperor of India, has turned controversial.The City Civil Court in Hyderabad has stayed the telecast of the documentary, The Living Mughals, by Arijit Gupta pending a final verdict. The last hearing is posted for January 16. The film was telecast on DD-1 in June.Yakub Habeebuddin Tucy, who claims to be the emperor’s great-grandson, alleges his uncles, Ziauddin and Masihuddin Tucy, who appear in the film, have wilfully suppressed Habeebuddin’s existence and that of his grand-aunt Jahan Ara Begum’s family.
