MUMBAI, APRIL 18: The badla charges (carry-forward rates) at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) dropped to an average of 30 per cent from 42 per cent last week. The rates went upto a high of 43-45 per cent in some scrips and touched a low of 18 per cent towards the close to finally settle at 30 per cent.
The total outstanding value of carry-forward scrips touched a record peak and crossed the Rs 1,200 crore to Rs 1,221.67 crore. Of this, the purchase carry-foward amounted to Rs 1,174.29 crore and sales Rs 309.90 crore. Carry-forward rates had witnessed a high of 100% and more last week.
