NANGAL (ROPAR), JULY 11: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today gave a clarion call to the youth to prepare themselves for meeting the challenges of the 21st century and to redouble efforts for social and economic upliftment of society.Addressing the concluding function of a three-day camp of the Sikh Students Federation here, Badal said the youth must re-mould and refashion their lives by adopting the rich tenets of Sikhism and following the precious legacy of the great Gurus.Lauding the role of the Sikh Students Federation during the Khalsa Tercentenary celebrations, the Chief Minister said that the festival's successful accomplishment had raised the pride of every Sikh and glorified the name of Khalsa on the global map. He said the historic event had been able to propagate the philosophy of Sikhism in every corner of the world, besides strengthening bonds of friendship and harmony among different communities.Exhorting the youth to fan out in rural and urban areas for undertaking the mission of ``service to the society'', Badal said that camps should be organised on a large scale and maximum number of students should be brought in the fold of the Sikh Students Federation. ``A unit should be set up in all schools and colleges to educate our young boys and girls about our rich heritage and message of Guru ghar,'' he said.The All India Sikh Students Federation passed three resolutions. The resolutions lauded the efforts of Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal for the successful conduct of tercentenary celebrations of birth of the Khalsa, posed full confidence in the leadership of Badal and cautioned the Sikh sangat against the nefarious designs of Tohra in misleading people.
