Osaka (Japan), May 3: India's Pratima Kumari missed a bronze in the women's 58kg category, finishing fourth with a total lift of 202.5 kg in the Asian weightlifting championships here on Wednesday.Pratima lifted 87.5 kg in snatch and 115.0 in clean and jerk while North Korea's Ri Song-Hui set a new clean and jerk world record hoisting 131.0 kg.But as the competition allowed for advances of 2.5 kg in recorded performance only 130.0 kg counted towards her total, which added to her snatch of 130 kg, gave her the gold with a total of 230.0 kg.Yang Xia (95+120 - 215.0) and Khassaraporn Suta of Thailand (90+122.5 - 212kg) finished second and third respectively.India, who won four gold medals on the opening day on Tuesday, failed to add any more to the total on Wednesday as Jasvir Singh in the men's 62 kg and M Arun in 69 kg finished sixth and 10th respectively in their events.Jasvir lifted 267.5 kg while Arun could manage only 282.5 kg. China's Shi Zhiyong lifted 152.5 kg in the snatch on his way to winning the clean and jerk title, breaking the World mark of 150.0 kg he set in July last year in Savannah. The Chinese hoisted 170.0 kg in the clean and jerk for an Asian record total of 322.5 kg.Shi Zhiyong's compatriot Le Maosheng, the world record holder in clean and jerk, was second with lifts of 140.0 kg and 170.0 kg for a 310.0 kg total. IM Yong-Su of North Korea was third with a total lift of 290.0 kg.Wang Jianhui won a second gold for China in the men's 69kg class with lifts of 155.0 kg and 182.5 kg for a total of 337.5 kg.South Korea's Kim Hak-Bong was second and Lee Bae-Young both lifted a total of 327.5 kg with Kim taking the silver thanks to his lighter weight.
