A man claiming to be Sahrai Baba, successor of Jaish-e-Mohammad’s Kashmir operations chief Gazi Baba, today said his outfit had killed Kuka Parray.
Parray has been killed in retaliation to the gunning down of Gazi Baba by security personnel last month, he said.
Two militant outfits Al-Nasiree and Kashmir Freedom Force have also claimed responsibility for the killing of Parray. Life remained paralysed in several parts of Baramulla today due to spontaneous hartals in Sumbal, Sonwari and Hajan to protest the killing of J-K Awami League chairman Parray.
Shops and business establishments remained closed and traffic remained off the roads. People at several places took to streets, shouting slogans against the killing of Parray.
Meanwhile, two government school teachers of the Gujjar community were slaughtered by militants in Rajouri dist of J-K on Sunday. Militants abducted Bagh Hussain Gujjar and his brother-in-law Shabir Ahmed, sources said here. The duo were tortured and then slaughtered.
