Online trading company eBay.com on Tuesday announced it has completed the technical integration of its Indian subsidiary, auction website Baazee.com, with itself. Baazee, a 100 pc subsidiary of eBay, will be renamed eBay.in starting April 1, after which, its 1 million Indian users may trade with eBay’s 135 mn registered users in 32 worldwide subsidiaries. Country Manager Avnish Bajaj said the compelete integration of eBay.in with eBay.com will be over by June 2005. He said the company expected ethnic jewellery and handicrafts from India to be international hits, while digital cameras, mobile phones and computers would boom in India. Sales completed on eBay are charged at 5 pc of their worth by eBay. Transactions worth over Rs 4,000 are charged at 7.5 pc.
