CHANDIGARH, July 21: Students of local Ayurvedic College began an indefinite strike to protest the decision of Panjab University not to allow admissions to first year classes this year. The decision to disaffiliate the college for admissions was criticised by the agitating students. The students are also demanding that early steps be taken to ensure that their degree is recognised.Earlier, the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) had recommended to the Panjab University to withdraw affiliation of the college due to non-fulfilment of conditions of affiliation.Students of the local Ayurvedic College sitting in dharna against the disaffiliation decision of the PU, on Tuesday.
