Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy came down heavily on BJP for not acting on its Bellary unit leaders including Tourism Minister Sriramulu, who hurled criminal charges at him."BJP leaders are not behaving in a responsible manner even after the incident came to their notice," Kumaraswamy said.Accusing BJP of not cracking down on its leaders for their behaviour, he warned that the party will have to own responsibility if their leaders' actions led to any untoward developments.Without elaborating, he said, "I have the responsibility of maintaining law and order and protecting people of the state.""The attempt to murder charge levelled by Sriramulu is the BJP's gift to me for having cooperated with them in the last 20 months and this incident will remain etched forever in my mind," he said.Kumaraswamy replied in the negative when asked if any BJP leader established contact with him to discuss the issue. To a query on transfer of power to BJP, Kumaraswamy said, "I know what to do on October three. I know what decision I should take on that day."He said if the BJP demanded summoning of the JD(S)-BJP coordination Committee meet to discuss contentious issues, he would oblige them.
