RJD MP Mohammad Shahabuddin was today sent on a transit remand of two days. Shahabuddin, arrested from his official residence yesterday, was produced before the metropolitan magistrate, Sanjeev Jain, who rejected his bail application and allowed the Bihar Police to take him to Siwan where he would be produced before a local court.

While he was being taken to Patna, he was stopped at IGI Airport by the airport security as a look-out notice had been issued against him. As a result, the evening flight to Patna was delayed by over an hour. The flight, scheduled to leave at 7.25 pm, took off at 8.25 pm.

Airport officials said they stopped the team as they did not get any intimation of the cancellation of the lookout notice against the Siwan MP.
