BANGALORE, APRIL 28: Unseeded Janaki Krishnamurthy caused the first upset ousting fourth seed Arathi Venkatraman in a pre-quarter final match of the ITF women's satellite international tennis tournamnet today.Unseeded Radhika Tulpule, winner of the Mumbai leg, also moved into the quarter-final after eighth seeded Tara Kambargimath withdrew due to high fever.Mumbai leg semi-finalist Arathi, who quelled a strong challenge from unseeded Radha Devendrappa in a first round tie yesterday, was stretched from the word go by Janaki and eventually lost the match 7-6 (9-7) 3-6 4-6.In other matches, top seed Sai Jayalakshmy outplayed Nikita Bharadwaj 6-2 6-3, while second seed Archana Venkatraman defeated Geetha Manohar 6-1 6-3.Third seed Anna Nefedova of Russia, the lone foreign entrant, overcame a fighting Harsimran Kaur Bedi 6-2 3-6 6-3.Fifth seed Rushmi Chakravarthi scored an easy 6-1 6-2 win over Sumithra Rao 6-1 6-2 and sixth seed Shruti Dhawan dropped just one game before ousting Nandini Perumal 6-1 6-0.
