Arafat to be reunited with daughter in Paris

For ailing Palestinian President Yasser Arafat, a reunion with his nine-year-old daughter he hasn’t seen for three years could be just what the doctor ordered. ‘‘You will see Daddy soon in Paris my sweet,’’ Arafat’s wife, Suha told their daughter Zahwa over telephone before Arafat was flown to France. Arafat got on the line and delivered the same message to his child in the telephone call to Tunisia. ‘‘Zahwa was very happy after the President told her he will see her (in Paris),’’ the official said. Suha Arafat (41) was reunited with Arafat on Thursday for the first time since 2001.
