MUMBAI, JAN 15: After cricket and hockey looks like it's time for golf. The presence of some Pakistani players seems to have prompted the Indian Golf Union (IGU) to postpone the All-India Amateur Golf Tournament scheduled to begin here next week. Though not declared to the press, a statement citing `unavoidable circumstances' was issued jointly by the club and the IGU and was on display on the club notice board today. The event, the biggest on the national amateur circuit, is a much awaited tournament where most of the prominent golfers from India and abroad are expected to participate. The new dates and venue, however was not made public. In the wake of the Shiv Sena opposition to Pak cricketers and hockey players playing in India, the IGU has probably decided to play it safe and move the venue out of the Sena's domain.
