Former Uttar Pradesh minister and Samajwadi Party MLA Amarmani Tripathi, his wife Madhumani along with two others, who were sentenced to life imprisonment by a special court here on Wednesday in the Madhumita Shukla murder case, will be shifted to Roshanabad jail in Hardwar district.Bhaskaranand, Inspector General of Prisons, Uttarakhand said that all the four convicts namely Tripathi, Madhumani, Rohit Chaturvedi and Santosh Rai will be shifted to Hardwar from Dehradun district jail where they were lodged since March 2007.Meanwhile, district jail authorities on Thursday withdrew all VIP facilities to Tripathi and his wife Madhumani. “We have withdrawn all the facilities which were earlier given to Amarmani Tripathi and his wife,” said B P Pandey, Dehradun District Jail Superintendent.The special court had convicted Amarmani, Madhumani, Rohit Chaturvedi and Santosh Rai to life imprisonment, while the fifth accused Prakash Pandey was acquitted due to want of evidence against him. Pandey was set free on Thursday.
