CHANDIGARH, Feb 7: The Haryana Pradesh Congress I Committee HPCC, while expressing surprise over the unusual order passed by the Governor of Haryana in pardoning a former BJP municipal councillor, has strongly flayed the ruling HVP-BJP alliance for recommending the pardon.
In a statement, the president of the HPCC, Bhupinder Singh Hooda expressed surprise over the manner and haste with which the mercy petition of Siriyans Kumar Jain, for pardon, was disposed off within a span of a few days. Hooda stated that following the crime, the Congress had launched an agitation which was supported by Bansi Lal also. 8220;It is strange that the same Bansi Lal had now blindly buckled under the pressure exerted on him by his BJP allies in the state8221; and recommended the pardon, he added.
