MUMBAI, DECEMBER 25: A local court on Friday released on bail Sanjay Chavan and Sarban Singh Keer who were arrested on November 26 last for allegedly smuggling 1,327 mobile telephones in collusion with a Joint Commissioner of Customs.

They were released on personal bond of Rs two lakh each by U S Iyer, Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, who agreed with defence counsel Satish Maneshinde and Jambolikar that no new material had come to light after their arrest. Both the accused were directed not to leave the country without the permission of the court.
