CHAMBA, Aug 18: The Chamba police have arrested an alleged informed and harbourer of J and K terrorists who carried out massacre in Kalaban (Khar Baie) and Satrundi on August 1.

The DSP headquarter said that Sharif Muhammad, the local contact of the terrorists, was arrested and produced before the court yesterday. He said court has sent him to police remand for nine days.

During interrogation earlier, Sharif Muhammad had informed that Wali Mohammad played an active role in the whole incident, following which the Himachal police informed the Punjab police about the possible whereabouts of Wali alias Billa Gujjar.

ASP Sharda said that the Chamba police were already suspecting Sharif Mohammad, who was let free by the terrorists to misled the investigating agencies and were waiting for action by Punjab police. He said that they would get more clues during the police remand. Sharda said that a police party from Chamba had also been sent to Punjab to take Billa in custody.
