KOZHIKODE, OCTOBER 7: Hosts Kerala’s PV Sujith rallied from a game down to defeat Gaurav Singh of Air-India 3-2 to storm into the junior boys final of the all-India ranking badmintion tournament at the indoor stadium here on Saturday. Sujith won 7-8, 7-2, 1-7, 8-7, 7-3 in the semi-final.
In the midget girl’s section, Kerala’s favourite combine of Suma Suresh and Suruthi went down to Maharashtra’s Geethanjali Bosley and Nisha Pandit pair in straight games in the doubles semifinals.
The Maharashtra girls mixed thier shots well and decieved their rivals to carve out a 7-0, 7-0, 7-0 win.
The final will be an all-Maharashtra affair as the duo of Athithi Matakakkan and Shipra Ghoshray sidelined the combine of Ruthnisha and Yashaswiny of Kerala7-0 7-0 7-0 margin in the other semi-final.
