MUMBAI, November 20: The internationally renowned pop group Air Supply, which has created music focussing on a range of varied emotions underlying love and faith, today released their 17th album The Book of Love in the metropolis.

The duo, Russel Hitchcock and Graham Russes, was in Mumbai for the worldwide release of their latest album, which has been organised for the first time here. They will render songs from their latest album containing 11 songs at select pubs during their four-day promotional tour.

Addressing a press conference, the duo said India had some of the finest supporters for their music in the world and this had prompted them to opt to come here for the release. “We took six months to make it and are very proud of the album being released here”, the duo said. Graham, an Englishman, and Australian born Hitchcock joined hands in 1975 and their dream became a reality in the birth of Air Supply in 1976. By the end of 1978, they had the first of many hits Lost in Love and later in the 80’s the duo had eight top five singles. Other hits are The Greatest Hits, Earth Is, The Vanishing Race and News from Nowhere.
