
The All India Football Federation AIFF on Monday conducted a daylong seminar on the soon to be launched Indian Professional National Football League I-League for the participating clubs and state associations in Panjim.
The ambitious league is set to kick off on November 23 at the Nehru Stadium in Margao.
The AIFF office bearers made presentations on the rules and regulations of the I-League, marketing and club licensing policies, refereeing matters and scheduling for the inaugural professional league.
Bob Houghton, the chief national coach made a special presentation on national team development and its alignment with the I-League.
AIFF general secretary Alberto Colaco presented the objectives and the much controversial scheduling aspect of the flagship league.
Joaquim Alemao, president of Goa Football Association, inaugurated the seminar.
The seminar was attended by club officials from Air India Mumbai, Churchill Brothers Goa, Dempo Sports Club Goa, JCT Phagwara Punjab, Kingfisher East Bengal Kolkata, Mahindra United Mumbai, McDowells Mohun Bagan Kolkata, Salgaocar Sports Club Goa, Sporting Clube de Goa Goa and Viva Kerala Kerala.
The participant state associations included IFA Bengal, GFA Goa, KFA Kerala, PFA Punjab and WIFA Maharashtra.
