Ahmedabad blasts vehicles from Navi Mumbai: Police

Two of the vehicles stuffed with Police explosives, which were found in Surat have been traced to Navi Mumbai and both were stolen about a fortnight earlier, a Navi senior police official said on Monday.

“A Wagon R car found in Surat was stolen on July 8 Navi from Vashi while a Maruti 800 car was stolen from Sanpada area on July 15,” the senior police official said on condition of anonymity.

Both the cars belonging to businessmen had been stolen from the parking lots of the buildings of the owners, the official said.

The owners of the vehicles had filed complaints with the Navi Mumbai police stating that their cars were stolen, he said.

Investigations are on to find who had stolen the vehicles, he added.
