Around the time the PM was grieving the death of his grandnephew Manish, in Moradabad district here, a peanut seller was reportedly thrown out of the Saharanpur-Moradabad train by some youths, following an altercation over the payment for peanuts on Monday. Police, however, say it was an accident caused by the jostling of the crowd.

Amar Pal Singh Saini was found injured on the railway tracks near Harthala railway station on Monday. According to Inspector GRP, Moradabad, S.K. Singh, he was an illegal vendor on the train who fell off while trying to enter a coach. No FIR has been lodged till date — instead, the peanut seller could be jailed for illegal vending on the train.
