Advani snubs Shabana in House

Deputy Prime Minister L.K. Advani ignored Rajya Sabha member Shabana Azmi’s question whether it was true that many were booked under POTA for the Godhra carnage but none was arrested for the ‘‘bloodshed’’ that followed.

Ruling out interference in the working of the review committee set up to probe allegations of misuse of the Act, Advani said: ‘‘You shouldn’t expect me to usurp the authority of the review committee.’’
