US intelligence agencies spotted activity last week at an Iraqi plant identified as a biological weapons production facility, The Washington Times reported in its Wednesday edition. ‘‘A convoy of about 60 trucks was photographed by a US spy satellite at a known biological weapons facility last week,’’ the daily quoted US intelligence officials as saying, adding the site was located some 9.6 km north-west of Baghdad. ‘‘They’re moving stuff in or out,’’ an official said, adding that intelligence information about Iraq’s weapons programme was limited. The report on the truck convoy followed a Washington Post report earlier that US intelligence was looking for a suspected Iraqi biological weapons laboratory north of Baghdad. The Post quoted US officials as saying the plant may be producing a weapon-sized version of the ebola virus.
