Cashing on the evergreen popularity of food festivals, Hotel Sagar Plaza, has organised a Gujarati Food Festival, that will last upto October 17. Coinciding it with the ongoing Navratri festival, the buffet spread in the coffee shop, is open to the public for lunch as well as dinner. At the rate of Rs.125 plus taxes, there’s a lavish spread of three vegetables, kadhi, puris and theplas, rice, salads and sweet dish. The evening that we visited it, there was a yummy vegetable made out of tomato and shev that was interesting. The karela and kaju tossed vegetable also deserves special mention. The menu changes with every meal and promises to bring in the authentic taste of Gujarat. On October 17, Hotel Sagar Plaza is organising a dandiya night called the `Ramva Padharo’ with interesting food stalls, with the entry fee being Rs.100. But for all the guests for the food festival that day, there’s a bonanza – they will be given free passes. Not a bad way to spend an evening, what?
