A pat on the back in three districts

The Manik Sarkar Government came in for praise from the Prime Minister for having done good work in some areas. “Three districts of Tripura have been covered under employment guarantee scheme. We have already released Rs 150 crore for Tripura under this scheme. Lakhs of people in Tripura have benefited from this”, he said, in sharp contrast to what Sonia Gandhi had said yesterday. The UPA chairperson had yesterday accused the Left Front of paying wages at a lesser rate than what was fixed by the Centre.
