The Bharuch sessions court has sent summons to the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts accused Mustafa Ahmed Dosa alias Mustafa Majnu to appear for trial in an arms smuggling case.Dosa was deported from Dubai in March 2003. He was arrested under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities Act (TADA) along with mafia don Abu Salem and handed over to the Gujarat Police in 2007. At present, he is in Porbandar facing the charges. “Summons have been sent to Dosa for an arms smuggling case along the Gujarat-Madhya Pradesh border,” said a senior police officer from Bharuch. Dosa is accused of having connived with Ibrahim’s close aide Chhota Shakeel and one-time Ahmedabad underworld don Abdul Latif in supplying a cache of 35 AK-47 rifles and hand grenades to trigger violence after the Babri Masjid demolition.According to Bharuch police, Dosa is also accused in another case of landing of arms and explosives in Bharuch. This case relates to landing of a part of the consignment of RDX and AK-56 rifles meant for use in the 1993 serial blasts, on the coast near Porbandar. Landing of this consignment was also allegedly planned and executed by Dosa.
