DUBAI, FEB 28: Seven Indian crew members were rescued by US Navy after their ship collided with a US naval refuelling vessel USNS Yukon in heavy fog outside the man-made Jebel Ali Port near here.The six crew members and captain of Inchcape-14, all Indians, were rescued by the Yukon and none of them were hurt, media reports said here on Monday. The 205-metre USNS Yukon received minor damage.A statement from the US Navy's central command in Bahrain said the crew members were picked up from the sea after the collision, which occurred at 9.38 am on Sunday."Our ship was outside the break water of Jebel Ali and collided with another ship. There were people in the water from other ship but all have been rescued," Commander Jeff Gradeck, spokesman for the US Fifth Fleet said.There was substantial damage to the 39.4 metre Inchcape-14 but there was no oil leakage into the sea, a spokesman for the Inchcape Shipping Services, Dubai was quoted by the Khaleej Times daily as saying.The newspaper said an official investigation has been launched into the collision.
