MUMBAI, June 24: In yet another grisly murder, a 65-year-old man was found dead in his residence at Kurla on Tuesday morning.
John Dominic Francis Noronha was found dead on his bed with marks on his neck by his niece Rosabella (37) and her husband Anthony around 10.30 am on Tuesday. When she rang up her uncle, there was no response from the other end of the phone. They gained entry into the flat with duplicate keys.
Rosabella informed the Kurla police that Noronha’s murder was a fallout of a property dispute with the tenants. She suspected one Sanjeev Pujari and his daughter Ishwara to be involved in the murder.
While the suspects were being questioned, the Kurla police are yet to make any arrests regarding the case.
A post mortem report today revealed that the death occurred due to strangulation around 1.45 am, said the police.
