This is the condition where one may have bleeding. Platelet count is less, so the patient may have a miscarriage and sometimes the bleeding is so bad, that the patient can go in coagulation disorder. The causes for such a condition could be jaundice, hypertension, fever and viral infection. A very rare cause is hellp syndrome (pregnancy-induced hypertension). The risk is both for the mother and the baby. Most of the time, mortality is very high in the fetus. But timely management and good healthcare can help lower the problem.

Chinese food contains ajinomoto, which is not good for the mother or the baby. The latest research however, shows that chocolates, when eaten in small quantities, are not bad for the health of either.

Carbonated drinks are better avoided because they contain sweeteners, which are not good.
