NEW DELHI, MAY 18: About 30 to 40 public sector undertakings (PSUs) are likely to be put into the pipeline for privatisation during the current financial year, minister for disinvestment, Arun jaitley, said here on Thursday.Underlining the need to shorten the entire timetable for privatisation process, he said successful privatisation is likely to generate more jobs.To a query, Jaitley said there was almost near-unanimity against entry of foreign investment in print media, according to an official release.He said some PSUs have been regarded as national assets and a larger public opinion would have to be mobilised to speed up the process of privatisation.The German businessmen expressed eagerness to invest in India in a big way and pleaded for easy access and proper atmosphere for this.
