The cricket board today constituted a three-member disciplinary committee to decide the fate of Abhijit Kale, accused of offering bribe to two national selectors. The disciplinary committee would be headed by board president Jagmohan Dalmiya and include two vice-presidents, Kamal Morarka and Ranbir Singh Mahendra, according to an announcement by the BCCI here. The first meeting of the disciplinary committee has been convened here on December 11. The committee was constituted after the board president received the report of the inquiry commissioner DV Subba Rao late last evening, the announcement said. Generally, a disciplinary committee is given up to six months’ time to take a final decision on any matter referred to it but in this case the outcome is expected early.
