MUMBAI, July 21: Three Customs officers were suspended today on charges of robbing two persons of $ 500 when they returned from Singapore in March this year.Manoj Kumar Chandelia (33) and his brother were returning from Singapore on a Cathay Pacific flight around 8 pm on March 18, 1998 when they were accosted by three custom officers at the clearing bay. One of the officer demanded that he should part with all the money he had on him, the police stated.Chandelia was forced to part with $ 500 for which the custom officer provided a receipt of only Rs 550.
