NEW DELHI, November 30: An 18-year-old woman was gangraped at a poultry farm in Samaipur Badli at 3.15 this morning. The assailants, five in number, have not been identified as yet. The victim and her husband Govind were sleeping in their room, where the latter works as a watchman, when they somebody knocked on their door. The police said that the person identified himself as a policeman, saying that there had been a robbery at the farm and that Govind needed to identify the culprits. When the couple opened the door, the police said that two men - one was lanky and the other of medium height around the age of 20 to 22 years of age - forced their way into the house and threatened them with a gun.According to the victim, they forced themselves on her and when her husband protested, three others allegedly caught hold of him and dragged him to the other end of the farm. They tied him up and left him there to join the others. Before leaving, the assailants allegedly took with them Rs 1,200 cash, some jewellery, a gas cylinder and a telephone instrument. According to the victim, the complaint was registered with the police only after the husband managed to free himself and alert the owner of the poultry farm.
