CHANDIGARH, June 23: About 150 units of blood through voluntary donations are needed everyday to meet the requirements of the city. The three summer months of May to July are a lean period in which the city generally faces a shortage of blood. This was stated by Saroop Krishen, Honorary Secretary, Blood Bank Society, while speaking at a blood donation camp at the UT Secretariat today. Adviser to the Administrator, Jagdish Sagar, inaugurated the camp by donating blood and was followed by N.S. Randhawa, SSP. Nearly 80 persons donated blood on the occasion. The camp was organised by Chandigarh Administration.
