MUMBAI, May 4: Sixteen people, of whom 15 are children, suffered from food poisoning after eating kulfi from a certain hawker in Bhiwandi on Friday night. All of them were rushed to Thane Civil hospital and were discharged on Saturday evening after treatment. The police informed the victims were from Kharbav village in Bhiwandi and had purchased kulfi from a certain hawker. Half an hour after having the kulfi, they suffered from loose motions and vomiting. The Bhiwandi police has filed a case against the unidentified hawker who is absconding. This was the third incident of food poisoning in Bhiwandi in the last eight months.
