11 get death sentence in 2000 serial church blasts case

A special court in Bangalore sentenced 11 convicts to death and 12 others to life imprisonment in connection with serial bomb blasts in churches in Karnataka, Goa and Andhra Pradesh, in 2000.

A special court in Bangalore on Saturday sentenced 11 convicts to death and 12 others to life imprisonment in connection with the serial bomb blasts in churches in Karnataka, Goa and Andhra Pradesh, in 2000.

Judge S M Shivanna Gowda acquitted four others while pronouncing the sentence.
