VADODARA, DECEMBER 26: A ten-year-old prodigy from the city, Shrushtee Thakkar is all set for creating a new world record and earn an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records by playing harmonium non-stop for 14 hours on December 30 at the Hare Krisna temple, Juhu in Mumbai. Shrushtee, who exhibited her extraordinary talent in the city on June 7, 1998 by performing non-stop for 13 hours said that she wishes to welcome the new millennium by holding the non-stop performance.A great fan of noted singer Anuradha Paudwal, Shrushtee's love for music began at the age of six when her father, Harshad Thakkar presented her with a piano. She became the disciple of Sangeet Visart awardee Pandit Rajnikant Naik. Then there was no looking back for Shrushtee who started putting extra efforts by devoting at least two to three hours to her practice with the piano.Shrushtee's talent and her hard work have paid rich returns as she started excelling in her field. A student of Standard IV, Shrushtee has plans to become adoctor and cure the poor.
