Congratulations are in order for actors Rajkummar Rao and wife Patralekhaa as the duo have announced their pregnancy. The couple posted jointly on Instagram, announcing they have a ‘baby on the way’.

Now, adding a third member to their family, changes are bound to come into not just their lives but also their home. Before they do, let’s take a peek into the couple’s beautiful abode.

“Sometimes, it’s not just about connecting with someone,” Rajkummar said of his home once in a video for Asian Paints. “It’s about connecting with a place.”

The home blends understated modern furniture with textured walls, warm light, and objects that reflect his personal journey. The actor’s personality is imprinted everywhere, from the curated art on the walls to the pieces that speak of craftsmanship and cultural resonance.

“I grew up in Gurgaon in a joint family. There were some 16 people, all of us were living together,” Rao said, adding, “When I moved to Mumbai, my first house, I was sharing it with two of my friends. I used to sleep on the floor…A lot happened in that house. I got my first film there, I got the national award news there.”

The Bollywood actor and his partner Patralekhaa have crafted a space that strikes a perfect balance between minimalism and personality. Their colour palette, anchored in electric blue and soft whites, sets a calm, contemporary tone throughout the house. With clean-lined modern furniture, floor-to-ceiling windows, and thoughtfully chosen accents, the home feels airy and intentional.

A glance through their social media reveals curated glimpses into this beautifully designed apartment. “I don’t like things which are jazzy and shiny personally… I love coming back home,” Rajkummar shares, capturing the essence of his aesthetic.

The living room is dressed in shades of white and grey, subtly warmed by wooden furniture that adds just the right touch of texture. But perhaps the most striking feature of the actor’s home is the expansive balcony. Framed by city views, this peaceful outdoor corner has been transformed into a serene Zen zone, complete with a Buddha statue and lush greenery.

Talking about the statue, he said, “I was walking down the streets in Thailand in Koh Samui…I felt so connected. Just by looking at him, everything in life is nice and peaceful.”

The dining space carries a rustic charm, wooden tones and earth-inspired finishes make it inviting and grounded. A stunning spiral staircase, evocative of those in old castles, ties the home together across its levels.

And tucked away in the living room is one of Rajkummar’s favourite nooks, a cosy reading spot by the window, layered with soft red and beige cushions, offering just the right place to pause and breathe.
