After 40 days of Lent, during which Christians fast and observe abstinence, Easter is celebrated with much enthusiasm by the community. Also called Resurrection Sunday, as it is believed that Jesus Christ was resurrected from the dead on this holy day, the occasion is marked by celebration, festivity, and feasts. Families get together for Easter lunch and generally, lamb is a staple of the celebration — which, according to biblical mythology, represents the sacrifice of Christ for humanity.
In keeping with the same, Maria Goretti, a chef and TV host, recently shared a wholesome, and easy recipe for ‘Mutton Moile’ that is packed with the goodness of delectable South Asian flavours for Easter lunch.
Sharing the recipe from her cookbook, From My Kitchen to Yours- Food, Love and Other Ingredients, Goretti wrote on Instagram, “So this dish always makes its way to my Easter lunch ..Also because during the 40 days of Lent, I stay away from meat …So I wait to meet my …MUTTON MOILE”.
