Earlier this year, over 100 wines were rated at the fourth edition of the Indian Wine Consumer Awards. The wines that were rated highly by over 100 wine aficionados include the Myra Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, Charosa Pleasures Cabernet Shiraz NV Oakwood Reisha Grand Cru Reserve 2013, York Shiraz 2013 and, among others, the Reveilo Chardonnay Reserve 2015.

Shrikand popsicles at The Bombay Canteen
The collab between artisanal ice-creamery Sucres Des Terres and The Bombay Canteen has produced many a sweet-ish delight — the Coffee Rasgulla and the Coffee Tan-Ta-Tan come to mind. Now, TBC is serving two new SDT creations: fruit-flavoured shrikand popsicles — fig and mango — and Roasted Cashew Nut and Rose Pistachio. The frozen incredi-edibles will be available through June.

Dragon Boat Festival at the Taj Vivanta
The Dragon Boat Festival is one of China’s traditional festivals. Also known as Duanwu Festival, it celebrates the life of Qu Yuan, a Chinese scholar and patriotic poet, also known as China’s first poet. Memories of China, the Chinese restaurant at the Taj Vivanta, is celebrating the festival with a menu designed by executive Chef Ramasamy Selvaraju along with Chef Lai Hin Tong William. Feast on traditional festive Chinese dishes like the Zongzi Dumplings (sticky rice dumplings filled with different filings like bean sweetened paste, dates, pork, vegetables, egg yolk and long beans, and wrapped in bamboo, reed, or other large flat leaves); Fried Lotus Root, Sautéed Lobster with Egg White (lobster with a creamy egg white base); Dice Tenderloin with Yakuniku Sauce and a Twist of Mint; Braised Eggplant with Szechuan Chilli Sauce in Clay Pot, and Roast Peking Duck. World on a Plate Food Festival
The city will play host to the country’s first International Food Festival, World On a Plate (WOAP), that will also feature the popular Masterchef Australia judges George Calombaris, Gary Mehigan and Matt Preston. There will be pop-ups featuring some of the city’s most well-known restaurants, that will be visited by the judges who will taste some of signature dishes and pick the best restaurant of the evening. The participating restaurants include Alba, Cafe Noir, Ottimo, SodaBottleOpenerWala, Vembanad and Dum Pukht, among others. There will also be special masterclasses conducted by the judges, interactions with the audience and you can even share a brunch with them. All for a price, of course.

Kashmiri pop-up at Punjab Grill
When you think of Kashmiri cuisine, probably the first thing that comes to mind is the wazwan, easily one of the most celebrated components of Kashmiri culture. It refers to the traditional multi-course meal prepared on special occasions. Meat-heavy, most of the dishes are curd-based and use liberal amounts of ghee. And you can enjoy a traditional wazwan here in Bengaluru at a pop-up at the Punjab Grill. Chef Bashir Ahmad Choncha, from Kashmir, will be preparing the wazwan using ingredients that have been sourced from Kashmir.
