A lot many celebrities have spoken against depression and their coping mechanism. Actor Mandira Bedi, who regularly shares fitness posts on Instagram, recently revealed in a post that “exercise and fitness” helped her battle depression.
“Exercise and fitness have been my happy place. I have come to it after a lot I have gone through. I have battled depression as well but haven’t talked about it. My fitness posts are something that keeps me going, keeps me honest. And hopefully, it will motivate some other people as well,” said the 47-year-old.
In what seems to be a response to negative comments on her posts, the fitness aficionado shared, “There are people who tell me all the time that I have the life, this is all I like to do, my life is great, that’s why I do what I do. But I just want to let people know that I exercise, I make time for exercise and fitness in spite of what I do and in spite of whatever is going on in my life. So, for those of you who don’t think it is inspiring, angers or irritates you, please unfollow me.”
Bedi, who recently completed her 100-day fitness challenge in Taiwan’s Taipei, has been proving that fitness is built gradually and every day.
