Divya Khosla Kumar to walk the ramp for GARO at LFW Summer-Resort 2016

Titled ‘Femmes di Tahiti’, the collection theme is inspired by native Tahitian prints, colours and motifs.

Divya Khosla debuted as director with Sanam Re earlier this year in Feb. The actor-director who is seen at red carpet appearances is known for her striking fashion sense.

Actress-filmmaker Divya Khosla Kumar will walk the ramp for GARO by Priyangsu Maji and Sweta Tantia at the Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2016 here on Sunday.

The collection ‘Femmes di Tahiti’ incorporates beautiful floral landscapes and bohemian style of Tahitian women with an eclectic French Polynesian flavour.

“It is a pleasure being a part of Lakme Fashion Week as this is going to be our second season. We are really excited and we look forward to it. We’ve put in a lot of hard work and effort… We await this beautiful journey,” designers Priyangsu Maji and Sweta Tantia said in a joint statement.

The garments are easy flowing silhouettes having a soft handloom chanderi, cotton matka, woven bapta silk and chiffon textures with vibrant colours straight out of works of the master of avant-garde, Paul Gauguin.

Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2016, a five-day fashion extravaganza, will start on Wednesday.

Sources in the LJP (RV) said the names of the remaining 15 candidates would also be announced very soon.
