Celebrity chef Ananya Banerjee also suggests 3 things you should never put in microwave:

1. Metal (Aluminum foil, utensils, or containers)

Metal reflects microwaves instead of absorbing them, leading to electrical arcing. This can damage your microwave and even start a fire.

2. Eggs in their shell

They explode! The steam inside builds up pressure since the shell traps it, eventually causing the egg to burst. You’ll end up with a messy, hard-to-clean microwave.

3. Styrofoam containers

Toxic meltdown! Most Styrofoam contains harmful chemicals that can leach into your food when heated. If it melts, it releases dangerous compounds that are harmful to your health.
