SSC MTS Tier 2: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct the second tier exam to recruit across the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff vacancies on Sunday, November 24, 2019. A total of 1,20,713 candidates who have cleared the SSC MTS tier-I exam result will be appearing for the exam.
This will be a descriptive test where candidates will have to write a letter or an essay in 30 minutes’ duration; for PwD candidates, the duration of the exam is 40 minutes. The exam will be of 50 marks. It is conducted to test basic language skills commensurate with the educational qualification prescribed for the post.
Tie-breaker: The SSC MTS paper-II will only be of qualifying nature, however, in case two candidates score same marks, then marks scored by the candidates in paper-II will be used to decide the merit.
Do not forget to carry: Candidates will have to carry their admission certificate or SSC MTS tier 2 admit card to the exam hall without which no one will be allowed to enter the exam hall. It is also mandatory to carry at least two recent passport-sized coloured photographs, along with original government-approved photo-ID proof. These proofs will include:
— Aadhaar Card/ Printout of E-Aadhaar,
— Voter’s ID Card,
— Driving License,
— PAN Card,
— Passport,
— School/ College ID Card,
— Employer ID Card (Govt./ PSU/ Private), etc
Banned items: No calculator, separate or with the watch, books, slide rules, foot rules, notebooks, pagers, mobile phones or written notes will be allowed inside the examination hall. Any candidate who is found either copying or receiving or giving assistance will be disqualified, as per the rules.
Before attempting exam: Do not start by attempting the exam as soon as the answer booklet is handed over. Candidates need to write their ticket number in the space provided on the cover of the test booklet as well as other information required on the answer sheet including roll number, name, test form number, etc.
Before leaving exam hall: Candidates will have to submit their answer sheets before leaving the examination hall. It should be handed over to the invigilator only. It should not be mutilated, torn, folded, wrinkled or rolled. Any candidate who does not return the answer sheet or does not submit it to the right person or is found to take or pass on the answer sheet inside or outside the examination hall will be disqualified, as per the rules. Further, the SSC can take legal or disciplinary action against the candidate. Candidates are allowed to take the question booklet along with them.
Those who clear tier-II will be called for document verification. Finally selected candidates will be hired at a pay scale of Rs 5200- Rs 20,200 with additional grade pay of Rs 1800.
