SBI PO 2023: The State Bank of India has extended the deadline to apply for the post of probationary officer to October 3. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the official website— sbi.co.in.

There are a total of 2000 vacancies for the post. The exam will be conducted in three phases— Preliminary, Main and Psychometric Test. Call letters for the preliminary exam will be available from the second week of October. The preliminary exam will be held online in November. The results would be declared either in November or December.

Call letters for the main exam will be available by November or December. The exam will be conducted during December or January and results will also be announced during the same period.

Call letters for phase three will be available during January or February, 2024. The Psychometric test, interview and group activities will be conducted either in January 2024 or February 2024. And final results will be announced either in February or in March.

SBI PO 2023: How to apply

Step 1: Visit the official website— sbi.co.in

Step 2: Click on careers and click on applications for PO

Step 3: Once redirected, click on new registration and enter your basic details

Step 4: Login using your registered email ID and password

Step 5: Fill the application form and upload the necessary documents

Step 6: Save, submit and pay the fees

Step 7: Download the application form for future reference

The application fee is Rs 750 and SC, ST and PwBD candidates are exempted.

The preliminary exam will have 100 questions for 100 marks based on English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. The time duration is one hour. The main exam will be for 250 marks— 200 marks for objective test and 50 marks for descriptive test. The descriptive test will be administered immediately after the objective test is concluded. The objective test will have four sections— Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis and Interpretation, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness and English Language. The test will be conducted for a duration of three hours. The descriptive test will have two questions— letter and essay writing for 30 minutes.
