IOCL recruitment 2017: Apply for 354 trade apprentice posts

The Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has called for applications to the posts of trade apprentices in the southern region. Candidates who are willing to apply for about 354 posts of trade apprentices in various regions can do so from the official website (iocl.com).

The written test for the posts will be conducted at centres in Chennai, Hyderabad, Vijaywada, Cochin and Bangalore. Candidates who clear the exam will be eligible for a 12 month apprenticeship.

Application process begins- November 1, 2017
Last date to apply- November 15, 2017
Written test- December 3, 2017

Tamil Nadu and Puducherry- 153
Karnataka- 69
Kerala- 46
Telangana- 42
Andhra Pradesh- 44

Eligibility:

– Candidates need to be at least 18 years old as on November 1, 2017.
– Candidates should be no older than 24 as on November 1, 2017
– Except for the laboratory assistant post which requires candidates to have completed a 3-year BSc course, all other posts require a matriculation and a 2-year course certificate in the field.

Selection process:

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the written test and the personal interview. The test will contain objective type questions of the candidates’ chosen discipline. It will be for two houes and the paper will include questions on general knowledge, general awareness and reasoning. About 85 per cent on the weightage for selection will depend on the written test, while 15 per cent depends on the interview.
