BPSC 69th CCE: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the notification for the 69th Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) and other examinations. Interested and eligible candidates can apply from July 15 on the official website— bpsc.bih.nic.in or onlinebpsc.bihar.gov.in.

The last date to apply is August 5. There are a total of 235 vacancies available for 10 posts under the 69th CCE and 111 vacancies for 3 posts under other exams.

The minimum education qualification for a candidate to apply for 69th CCE is graduation. The application fee for candidates under the open category is Rs 600. For SC, ST category candidates who belong to Bihar, for women candidates who are residents of Bihar and for PwBD candidates (who have 40 per cent or more disability), the application fee is Rs 150.

The Combined Competitive Exam will be conducted in three phases— preliminary, main and personality test. The preliminary exam will be common for all candidates, it will be for 150 marks. For every wrong answer, there will be negative marking. In the main exam, candidates will have to appear for a General Hindi exam for 100 marks, two general studies papers for 300 marks each and one essay for 300 marks, bringing the total to 1000 marks. The personality test will be for 120 marks.

Ladakh civil society groups will resume talks with the Centre on October 22, following a judicial probe into the September 24 violence in Leh ordered by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs. The probe will be conducted by a former Supreme Court judge, while the meeting will address Ladakh's demands for statehood and Sixth Schedule status.
